The annual New Music on the Bayou Festival brings composers from around the world to interact with the communities of north Louisiana. 2019 saw 30 + composers visit and share their music with us. 20+ performers from around the state took part. A highlight of 2019 was the premiere of the commissioned work, "Cypress Knee Fulcrum" by Steven Landis, written for performance at the Black Bayou Wildlife Refuge and performed primarily by university students from the across the state. Performers were spread throughout the trails and in canoes. See more at New Music on the Bayou
